IndiLat, Maleh & Akapellah unite for ‘Muévete’, a global pop collaboration connecting India & Latin America

Mumbai, 11^th September 2026: Universal Music India has released ‘Muévete’, a vibrant global pop collaboration bringing together artists from India, Venezuela and Chile. Led by IndiLat and featuring Venezuelan singer Maleh and rapper Akapellah, the new single brings Indian and Latin American musical traditions into the same creative space. IndiLat describes the release as a historic collaboration featuring artist-producers Siddhant Bhatia, Raghav Mehta, Cristóbal “Tibo” Gajardo and Raniero Palm. The record also brings together a remarkable pool of Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated talent, creating a cross-cultural musical statement designed to travel beyond borders.

More than a conventional pop crossover, ‘Muévete’ approaches music as a form of cultural diplomacy. Under the leadership and creative involvement of Devraj Sanyal, the collaboration brings distinct musical identities together without attempting to dilute them. Indian konnakol opens the track before sitar and tabla meet Latin percussion, guitars, drums and Venezuelan horns. Spanish carries the song, while a Sanskrit invocation to Ganesha adds another cultural dimension. Rather than blending everything into a single sound, the record allows each tradition to retain its individual character while contributing to one cohesive musical experience.

At its heart, ‘Muévete’ is a song about movement, energy and breaking free from stagnation. The track brings together musicians across guitars, bass, percussion, drums, brass, sitar, tabla and vocals, with production led by Siddhant Bhatia, Raghav Mehta, Cristóbal “Tibo” Gajardo, Raniero Palm and Devraj Sanyal.
