Banjaare Bring The Emotional Story Of ‘Barsaat’ To Life With Official Music Video
Mumbai, 11th September 2026: Banjaare, the brother duo of Sumit and Anuj, have unveiled the official music video for their much-loved track ‘Barsaat’, taking the emotional story of love, longing and letting go from the song into a cinematic visual narrative. The release arrives after a landmark run for the Haryanvi artists, following the success of ‘Bairan’ and ‘Barsaat’, their association with the Spider-Man: Brand New Day India campaign and their achievement of becoming the first Haryanvi artists to deliver back-to-back No. 1 songs on the Spotify India Charts.
The ‘Barsaat’ music video continues the emotional world established by ‘Bairan’, but this time tells the story through the woman’s perspective. Played by Punjabi actor Akaisha Vats, the video follows her journey through memories and flashbacks as she looks back at a relationship that has fallen apart. Speaking about the journey of ‘Barsaat’ Banjaare shared, “We have always wanted to make music that reaches the heart, and seeing people make our songs a part of their own lives means everything to us. With ‘Barsaat’, we got to tell the story in a completely new way. Our dream is to take Haryanvi music to a place where people everywhere feel proud of their roots and their mother tongue. We hope ‘Barsaat’ makes people feel something long after the song ends.”

Directed by Teji Sandhu, known for his work on music-led visual narratives including Mitta Ror’s viral track ‘Sheesha’, the video takes a deliberately intimate approach to the song’s emotional core. Sandhu has spoken about the unconventional process behind the shoot, noting that there was no monitor or instant playback during filming, meaning he did not know exactly how the footage would eventually look. For Banjaare, meanwhile, ‘Barsaat’ represents their continuing ambition to take Haryanvi music beyond traditional boundaries while ensuring that audiences can remain connected to the language and cultural roots behind their music.
The official video also completes another chapter in the emotional journey that began with ‘Bairan’, turning a song that has already travelled across charts and popular culture into a visual story about loving, losing and learning to let go. Banjaare say their larger dream is to take Haryanvi music to audiences everywhere while making people feel proud of their roots and mother tongue. With ‘Barsaat’ finding its way from the Spotify charts to the Spider-Man universe and now into a cinematic music video, the duo continues to demonstrate how deeply rooted regional music can travel without losing the identity that made it resonate in the first place.
