Debarpito Saha’s latest single ‘Nahin Bhoolna’ is a relatable anecdote

Mumbai, 30^th November 2023: Music producer and composer Debarpito Saha’s name features in a long list of film and OTT soundtracks as well as singles. ‘Nahin Bhoolna’ is an exciting new indie song from the talented artist who has composed, produced and sung this beautiful love ballad.

‘Nahin Bhoolna’ is a passion project of Debarpito’s, and in his words, it “talks about the deepest and the purest form of love that is not bound by time, place or any other factors that we normally relate to with love.”

Talking more about the song he says, “As a musician, I thrive on melody and poetry, all my compositions are melody and lyrics driven, after which the design or production process becomes easy.”

‘Nahin Bhoolna’ began as Debarpito’s piano-based composition and gradually became an electro-pop work reflecting on the concept of limitless, unconditional love. The song was written by Pinky Poonawala and mixed and mastered by Alok Punjani, in a process that Debarpito describes as quite “organic and easy”.

For those who love a good love song, ‘Nahin Bhoolna’ is a story of lost love, about the awareness of an ending. The heart is in a dilemma between peacefully accepting that it’s time to move on, and stubbornly holding on to memories as though that will change the present reality. ‘Nahin Bhoolna’ is a relatable anecdote for hearts that have loved deeply.

About the Artist

From the musical landscape of Kolkata to the hectic music scene of Mumbai, Debarpito’s career spans over two decades and a remarkably eclectic spectrum. From a very young age, he trained across genres, both instrumental and vocal. Today his name is associated with successful mainstream (Bollywood), documentary and regional releases (including Marathi, Bengali, Tamil and more) in his versatile capacities as composer and producer. In recent years, Debarpito has released projects as a music producer (songs and score) with Vishal Bhardwaj, whom he looks up to as a lifelong mentor: Apple’s Fursat, Sony Liv’s Charlie Chopra and the Mystery of Solang Valley, and the recently released Netflix hit Khufiya, to name a few. His upcoming releases include a web series by director Devanshu Singh and Honey Trehan’s next film.
