Mumbai, 6th June 2026: Garvit-Priyansh have been selected for YouTube Music’s Foundry Class of 2026, joining an elite global roster of emerging artists handpicked to represent the future of music. The duo are among four Indian acts chosen for this year’s cohort, placing them alongside some of the most exciting new voices from 11 countries.
Since its launch in 2015, YouTube Music Foundry has become one of the world’s most respected artist development initiatives, helping support and elevate over 250 independent artists. Alumni include global stars such as Dua Lipa, ROSALÍA and Tems, artists who transformed from emerging talents into international forces.
The program provides selected artists with marketing support, development opportunities, platform visibility, funding assistance, and access to industry resources designed to help them scale their careers globally.
This year’s Foundry class is YouTube Music’s most international yet, featuring 24 artists from 11 countries, with Garvit-Priyansh representing a new generation of Indian musicians breaking beyond geographical boundaries. The Foundry announcement arrives during what has already been a breakthrough year for the duo.
Earlier this year, India’s most celebrated playback singer, Arijit Singh, surprised audiences during a live concert when he performed Garvit-Priyansh’s beloved track “Kaahe Mose.” Even more significantly, Singh described it as one of his favourite songs and encouraged concertgoers to remember the duo’s names. For independent artists, such endorsements rarely come bigger.
The moment introduced Garvit-Priyansh to thousands of new listeners and accelerated a momentum that had already been building through their growing catalogue and successful live performances across multiple cities.
The success of Garvit-Priyansh is not driven by viral trends alone. Their breakout song “Kaahe Mose” has crossed more than 11 million views across YouTube and YouTube Music, while tracks including “Theher Ja,” “Rang,” and “Saawan Bhi Thehra” have collectively accumulated millions of streams and views. These songs have helped establish the duo as one of the fastest-growing independent acts in the country.
Speaking about their selection to the Foundry Class of 2026, Garvit-Priyansh reflected on the journey that brought them here. “We’re honestly still trying to process it. For years, it’s just been the two of us making music we truly believed in, hoping it would find its way to the right people. To now be part of YouTube Music Foundry feels surreal.”
The duo emphasized that the recognition belongs as much to their listeners as it does to them. “Every stream, every message, every person who shared our music helped make this possible. We’re incredibly grateful to YouTube Music for believing in us and to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. We’re stepping into this chapter with a lot of gratitude, a lot of excitement, and a promise to keep making music that means something.”
India’s representation in the Foundry Class of 2026 includes Garvit-Priyansh alongside fellow Indian acts Antara and Ankita Nandy, Damini Bhatla, and OutStation. Their inclusion highlights the increasing global attention being paid to India’s rapidly evolving independent music ecosystem.
