Mumbai, 5th September 2026: BLACKPINK’s Lisa is kicking off a bold new solo chapter with ‘SaWaDiKa’, her latest single and the first taste of her upcoming EP, PRESS PLAY. Released on September 4, 2026, the high-energy track sees Lisa reconnecting with her rap roots while bringing her Thai heritage into the spotlight. The title is a stylised version of the traditional Thai greeting “sawatdee ka”, meaning “hello”. Produced by Thom Bridges and Ojivolta, the song marks Lisa’s first solo single of 2026.
The accompanying music video takes that connection to Thailand even further. Shot in Lisa’s native Bangkok, the visual features the global star moving through several iconic locations across the city. Directed by Bang Jae Yeob, the video combines energetic choreography with a series of striking fashion looks. Musically, ‘SaWaDiKa’ leans into Lisa’s rap-driven identity, giving fans a confident and hard-hitting introduction to the sound of her upcoming era.

‘SaWaDiKa’ serves as the lead single from Lisa’s forthcoming six-track EP ‘PRESS PLAY’, scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, through LLOUD Co. and RCA Records. The project follows her 2025 debut solo album Alter Ego and represents another step in Lisa’s evolution as a solo artist. The new era also arrives alongside several major projects, including her upcoming documentary Always Lalisa, which will receive its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before its wider theatrical release.
The momentum around Lisa’s new chapter will continue into the fall with her first Las Vegas residency, VIVA LA LISA, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The four November performances are already sold out, adding another major milestone to her expanding solo career. With PRESS PLAY on the horizon, a Thai-rooted lead single now setting the tone, and a major live residency ahead, Lisa is making her next move clear: this era is about embracing where she came from while pushing her global pop identity forward.
