Last Minute India opens up about grief and loss with new single ‘Ab Main Kya Karun’
Mumbai, 5th April 2026: With their new single ‘Ab Main Kya Karun’, Last Minute India turns inward to reflect on one of life’s hardest moments, the first time you lose someone who meant everything to you.
The song sits quietly in the space between disbelief and acceptance, holding onto a question many people feel but don’t always say out loud. Written by bassist Subodh, the track comes from a deeply personal place.
“This wasn’t something I sat down to write like a regular song,” he shares. “It came from a very real loss. When you lose someone that close, there’s this strange feeling, almost like you weren’t ready, like you didn’t get enough time. And the only thing that felt honest in that moment was asking, ‘Ab main kya karun?’ Because sometimes, there really isn’t an answer”, he adds.
Rather than trying to comfort or resolve grief, the song simply allows it to exist. It makes room for silence, for memories, and for the heaviness that comes with absence. It also gently questions the idea many of us grow up hearing, that “this too shall pass”, because some losses don’t pass, they change you.

Vocalist Puru recalls what it felt like recording the track, “Singing this felt very personal. It’s not loud or dramatic grief, it’s the quiet kind. It’s in the little things, the routines that change, the calls that don’t come anymore, the empty spaces at home. We wanted it to feel intimate, like you’re sitting with your own thoughts”.
Today, Last Minute India continues to grow as one of the most honest and relatable voices in India’s indie music space.
