Mumbai, 23rd October 2026: Glastonbury Festival 2027 has encountered a ticketing issue after its official ticketing partner, See Tickets, accidentally sold more coach-inclusive ticket packages than available seats on certain departures. The error comes after coach packages for the Somerset festival sold out in under 30 minutes, while general admission tickets also sold out rapidly. The festival will return to Worthy Farm from June 23 to 27, 2027, following a fallow year in 2026.
Affected customers have been assured they will not lose their festival entry tickets. Instead, their bookings will automatically be converted into general admission tickets, with the coach fare refunded to the original payment card. However, fans who still want to retain their coach seats must inform See Tickets by October 31, 2026. Coach fares vary by departure location and journey type, ranging from £26 to £185.
See Tickets has apologised for the administrative error and confirmed that the issue will not affect customers’ £100 festival deposits. Ticket holders can continue paying their remaining balance in April 2027 as planned. While the mistake may disrupt travel arrangements for some festivalgoers, others could benefit from greater flexibility in choosing how they reach the festival. Glastonbury’s coach packages typically require ticket holders to travel on their designated coach for the initial journey to the site.
The ticketing issue adds another development to preparations for Glastonbury’s 2027 return, with general admission tickets priced at £408, including the booking fee. The official line-up has yet to be announced, although organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that the three Pyramid Stage headliners have already been booked. Fans who missed out on tickets will have another opportunity during the spring 2027 resale, when returned tickets and bookings with unpaid balances are expected to become available.
