Mumbai, 23rd September 2026: Phonographic Digital Limited (PDL) has introduced LyricMatic, a new DIY platform designed to help music labels and creators turn songs into engaging lyric videos and visual assets with greater speed and flexibility. The technology-driven music company says the platform responds to the growing importance of visual content in music discovery, consumption and audience engagement. LyricMatic brings audio, lyrics, visuals and customisation tools into one workflow, allowing users to create lyric videos and album artwork without specialised video-editing expertise. Users can upload their audio or enter an ISRC code to fetch a track through PDL’s COSMOS platform, creating a streamlined starting point for visual content production.
One of LyricMatic’s key features is its focus on making lyric-video creation accessible even when synchronised lyrics are not readily available. Where lyrics are unavailable, PDL’s in-house team can assist with creating time-stamped lyric files. Users can then customise their videos with theme-based visuals, uploaded artwork, overlays, effects, fonts, lyric placements and different visual styles. An integrated Subtitle Editor also allows creators to edit lyrics and fine-tune synchronisation before producing the final video. The platform can additionally generate album art from the same music release, giving labels and independent creators another visual asset without requiring a separate production workflow.
Uzma Aman Khan, Vice President, Content Marketing & Business Development at PDL, says LyricMatic is designed to give labels greater creative control while reducing the time and effort involved in producing music visuals. “For us, LyricMatic is not just about creating a video—it is about helping our members unlock more ways to present, promote and extend the life of their music,” she said. The launch reflects a broader shift in the digital music ecosystem, where a song’s journey increasingly extends beyond its audio release. According to PDL, visual storytelling can help music remain discoverable across digital platforms, particularly for labels and creators that may not have dedicated creative or production teams.
LyricMatic becomes the latest technology-led addition to PDL’s ecosystem, which already includes COSMOS and ORBIT. PDL works with more than 1,500 labels and 60,000 sub-label rights owners, supporting digital distribution, rights management, content marketing, analytics, royalty reporting and rights enforcement across Indian and international markets. COSMOS facilitates distribution to 33 DSPs, while ORBIT provides royalty management and analytics capabilities. With LyricMatic, PDL is expanding that technology focus into visual content creation, giving music rights owners another way to present, promote and extend the life of their catalogues. Led in content marketing and business development by Uzma Aman Khan, whose career includes experience with T-Series, Aditya Music and Believe, PDL continues to build tools around the intersection of music, technology, data and audience behaviour.
