Kenisha Awasthi & Sapna Awasthi come together for ‘Garba No Rang Lagyo’
Mumbai, 18th October 2023: After releasing her love ballad, Junoon actor and singer, Kenisha Awasthi has released her dream song. We call it a dream because it is a collaboration with her mother and very popular singer Sapna Awasthi. The song is called ‘Garba No Rang Lagyo’. After entertaining us with some soulful cover versions of songs like ‘Yeh Mera Deewanapan’ and ‘Jaadu Teri Nazar’ this will be her first Gujarati single.

Speaking about the track Kenisha says “It had been a long standing dream for us to collaborate on a song together and we reckoned what occasion could be more auspicious than Navratri. Growing up, Garba music holds the most special memories for us as a family, from going to play Garba to 9 days of Devi Puja. Considering our roots in folk Music and our love and passion for the same, we wanted to make an authentic, beautiful Garba track. As a gesture of gratitude to Goddess Ambe for all her blessings, we set about making ‘Garba No Rang Lagyo’ and in this endeavour our male singer Kiran Malosana and our music Producer Rajni Prajapati have been the most instrumental in bringing this song to fruition. Without them this song would not have been possible.”
Kenisha Awasthi is also an actress who has featured in films like Raktanchal, Hasmukh and Good Bad Girl. She is singer Sapna Awasthi’s daughter. Sapna Awasthi has previously entertained us with some iconic songs like Chaiyya Chaiyya, Pardesi Pardesi and more. Kenisha is known for some hit cover versions of songs like Yeh Mera Deewanapan and Jaadu Teri Nazar. Her YouTube has around 35 k followers. Her Instagram fanbase extends to around 1.1M followers.
