MusiCulture Spotlight: ‘Kaahe Mose’ – The Story, The Emotion & The Journey, Exclusive Q&A With Garvit x Priyansh

In an era where music is often driven by trends, the creators behind ‘Kaahe Mose’ are choosing a different path, one rooted in emotion, storytelling, and authenticity. In this exclusive conversation with MusiCulture, Garvit and Priyansh open up about their journey, creative process, and what lies ahead.

What emotions or experiences shaped ‘Kaahe Mose’ at its core?

‘Kaahe Mose’ wasn’t created with a fixed theme in mind. We were in different cities, casually working on music when the melody came together. As the song evolved, a clear emotion began to surface; that unspoken phase of love, where both people feel something deeply but don’t say it out loud. The track captures a playful teasing in relationships, emotional hesitation and a soft, poetic expression of love.

We also experimented with rooted Hindi words like “Kaahe” and “Mose”, giving the song a nostalgic and classical feel.

With your live circuit expanding through the ‘Kaahe Mose’ tour, how has performing across cities influenced your sound and stage identity?

Live performances have played a huge role in shaping our identity as artists. Through touring, we have discovered our true musical sound on stage, how to build a live soundscape and what connects emotionally with audiences. Our stage presence is deeply personal focussed on sharing stories behind songs, expressing real emotions and creating an immersive experience. For us, it’s not just about performing, it’s about making the audience feel.

How did Arijit Singh performing ‘Kaahe Mose’ live impact you?

This moment came as a complete surprise. We had no prior idea it would happen, until a phone call changed everything. The reaction? Pure disbelief, overwhelming emotions and a “dream come true” moment. Beyond the excitement, it brought a validation of our work, motivation to grow further and a renewed sense of purpose.

It also came at the perfect time too, right before our India tour, making it an unforgettable milestone.

Your music blends indie sensibilities with a rooted Indian feel. How do you balance authenticity with audience trends?

Interestingly, we don’t actively think about genres or labels like ‘indie’. Our approach is simple, create what feels natural, trust the process and stay true to our emotions. Our sound can loosely be described as Classical-pop fusion but we don’t chase trends. Instead, we focus on authentic melodies, emotional honesty and creative freedom. Trends may come and go, but authenticity stays.

Viral success can be unpredictable. How are you planning to sustain momentum beyond this phase?

We don’t see their success as ‘viral’ in the conventional sense. For us, it’s a beautiful moment that motivates us to create more. Our plan isn’t complicated: keep making music, keep releasing consistently and keep connecting with listeners. No pressure. No overthinking. Just a continuous flow of creativity.

Looking ahead, are you focusing more on singles, larger projects, or evolving your live performance experience?

Our future plans are diverse and ambitious. We are exploring opportunities in film & OTT music, we aim to release a full album next year. Live shows remain a top priority for building deeper audience connections and expanding our stage presence. Being on stage makes us feel like we belong there.

Having said that, for us, everything works together, studio music, live performance, and screen projects, all go hand in hand.

The journey of ‘Kaahe Mose’ reflects a larger shift in the Indian music landscape, towards authenticity, emotion, and individuality. As MusiCulture continues to spotlight emerging voices, one thing is clear, the future belongs to artists who create from the heart, not just for the charts.
