Mumbai, 26th May 2026: Artists Arashkha and Sukanya Chattopadhyay have released SHAKTI Volume 3, a new EP that merges Indian folk traditions, spiritual chants, experimental electronic production, and immersive visual storytelling into one transcendent artistic experience. Originally initiated by Sonya Mazumdar of EarthSync, the project continues to evolve as a bold cross-cultural collaboration connecting musical influences from India, Bangladesh, Lithuania, and Réunion Island.

Blending Hindustani classical Bandish, Bengali folk traditions, Bhajans, Lithuanian Sutartinės, and contemporary electronic soundscapes, SHAKTI Volume 3 explores themes of surrender, feminine energy, destruction, rebirth, and spiritual transformation. The EP reimagines ancient sonic traditions through a modern experimental lens, channeling the symbolic power of goddess Kali while creating a deeply cinematic audiovisual universe. Dance performances by Maeva Curco Llovera and Armande Motais de Narbonne further elevate the project into a multidimensional artistic journey rooted in devotion, transcendence, and emotional intensity.

Speaking about the evolving collaboration, Arashkha shared, “With tracks like Devotional Song From an Urban Ruin, Sweet Surrender, and The Eternal Lily, we explored a darker, more urban and intense sonic world. One inspired by the destructive and regenerative energy of Kali. This collaboration is only evolving further, with future projects becoming even more rhythmic, immersive, and emotionally charged. Despite the distance between us, Sukanya and I share a deep creative connection, and we look forward to continuing this artistic journey together across India, Réunion, and beyond.”

Known for his genre-defying work that fuses philosophy, urban electronica, visual art, and social storytelling, Arashkha brings decades of international artistic exploration into the SHAKTI universe. Joining him is Kolkata-based vocalist, composer, and producer Sukanya Chattopadhyay, whose work bridges Hindustani classical traditions with contemporary electronic music. Her collaborations with artists including Karsh Kale and projects such as Made in Heaven have established her as one of India’s most forward-thinking independent musicians.
