‘Phool Phutechhe’ launches the musical journey of ‘Bohurupi: The Golden Daku’ ahead of its October release
Mumbai, 28th August 2026: The world of Bohurupi returns with a fresh musical chapter as Junglee Music and Windows Production reunite for ‘Bohurupi: The Golden Daku’. The makers have unveiled ‘Phool Phutechhe’, the first song from the much-awaited Bengali film, offering audiences their first musical glimpse into its new world. The release marks the beginning of the film’s musical journey while opening a new chapter after the strong impact of Bohurupi and its music.
‘Phool Phutechhe’ brings together the distinctive voices of Arpita Chakraborty, Noni Chora Das Baul and Bonnie Chakraborty. Penned by Noni Chora Das Baul and composed by him alongside Bonnie Chakraborty, the song blends the earthy soul of Bengali folk with a contemporary cinematic sound. Romantic at its heart, the track creates an immediate emotional connection while establishing a musical identity for Bohurupi: The Golden Daku. Featuring actor-filmmaker Shiboprosad Mukherjee and acclaimed Bengali actress Koushani Mukherjee, the song draws from the sounds, spirit and emotional warmth of Bengal. According to the makers, it was important that the first song remained connected to the world audiences already knew while opening the door to something new. That balance between familiarity and freshness gives ‘Phool Phutechhe’ a strong position as the musical introduction to the film’s highly anticipated second chapter. Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Co-Founder of Windows Production, says, “‘Phool Phutechhe’ draws from the sounds and spirit of Bengal. There is a simplicity to the song that makes its emotion immediate. It was important for us that the first song from The Golden Daku felt connected to Bohurupi, while also opening the door to something new.”
Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Bohurupi: The Golden Daku stars Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Jisshu U Sengupta and Koushani Mukherjee and is set to arrive in cinemas on October 15, 2026. With ‘Phool Phutechhe’ now streaming across major audio platforms, the film has officially begun building anticipation through its music.
