Sharlaine’s ‘3AM’ Turns Midnight Loneliness Into A Powerful Expression Of Vulnerability

Mumbai, 16th August 2026: Sharlaine Menezes, enters a deeply personal new chapter with her latest single ‘3AM’, featuring Jawbreaker. Released on August 6, the song steps away from conventional themes of success and empowerment to explore the quiet emotional battles that emerge after midnight. Built around overthinking, loneliness and self-doubt, 3AM captures those moments when the world becomes silent, but the mind refuses to switch off.

Rather than presenting vulnerability as something to overcome, Sharlaine turns it into the heart of the song. Written as a conversation with an imaginary friend, 3AM uses melodic rap and heartfelt storytelling to explore thoughts that many people experience privately. The track represents a return to the vulnerable sound that initially connected Sharlaine with her audience. As she puts it, she wanted to create a song that could simply “sit beside” listeners when life feels heavy, making 3AM an intimate musical experience rather than another conventional motivational anthem.

With 3AM, Sharlaine deliberately shifts the focus from achievements to authenticity. Cinematic melodies and honest lyricism create a relatable portrait of those nights when everyone else has gone to sleep, yet the mind keeps replaying every thought.  Talking about the song she says, “I’ve spent years writing songs that empower people. This time, I wanted to write one that simply sits beside them when life feels heavy”.

The song arrives after several important milestones in Sharlaine’s independent music journey. She has performed at platforms including Comic Con, BLR HUBBA, Women of Music India, Snapchat AR and the 24 Songs Music Festival, while sharing line-ups with artists such as Tracy De Sá, Panther and Karma. Her journey also includes two TEDx talks and performances at IIM Bangalore, Christ University and Goa University. Internationally, she represented India as the only Indian artist selected for the IBIS x Pabllo Vittar global campaign.
