Nayab Midha Releases ‘Rajkumari – The Nayab Song’ After A Historic Sold-Out One Of A Kind Stadium Show
Mumbai, 3rd September 2026: India’s spoken-word poetry scene is entering an exciting new chapter as Nayab Midha unveils the official soundtrack for her acclaimed Rajkumari IP. Fresh from the success of the Rajkumari India Tour and a historic sold-out one of its kind performance at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, Midha has released ‘Rajkumari – The Nayab Song’. The genre-bending bilingual song extends the world of Rajkumari into music, featuring vocals by Shruti Dhasmana, with concept, composition and lyrics by Rajat Sood and music co-composed by Metalpump.
Built around the fiercely independent spirit of Rajkumari, the song transforms spoken-word themes into a dynamic bilingual musical experience. Contemporary English hooks meet evocative Hindi poetry, while the lyrics challenge conventional ideas surrounding women, independence and identity. The track celebrates both financial and emotional independence, while also presenting fashion as a powerful form of self-expression. Its message is clear: women do not need to wait for a traditional fairy-tale ending or anyone else’s permission to define their lives.

The anthem also directly confronts patriarchal stereotypes, particularly the familiar idea that women are inherently in competition with each other. Instead, the song calls for collective empowerment and solidarity among women. Its use of the word ‘Naayaab’ carries a dual meaning, representing both something rare and unmatched and Midha’s own artistic identity. Nayab Midha says, “Rajkumari has always been bigger than a show for me. It is a feeling and now it has a sound of its own. Every woman who has ever been told to shrink herself will find a piece of her own story in this song. I hope it travels the way the show has and reminds people wherever they hear it that they get to write their own ending”. Rajat Sood further adds by saying, “We wanted the song to feel like the last five minutes of the show, that surge you feel when Nayab tells every woman in the room that she is her own princess. Shruti’s voice and Metalpump’s production gave that moment a form that can now exist on its own, far beyond the stadium”.
The soundtrack arrives after a landmark run for the Rajkumari India Tour, which culminated in Midha becoming the first spoken-word artist in India to headline a sold-out stadium performance at Talkatora Stadium. The show also carried a social-impact dimension, with a portion of its proceeds directed towards Assam flood relief and the education of underprivileged children through Initiators Of Change. Now, Midha is taking Rajkumari to international audiences, with her North America tour beginning next week before she heads to London’s Soho Theatre in November.
