MIIRA: Reviving the Spirit of Indian Alt-Rock with ‘Zordaar’

Mumbai, 8th October 2025: From a bedroom studio in Vizag to the heart of Hyderabad’s alt-rock revival, MIIRA stands as a testament to passion, patience, and brotherhood. What began in 2017 as guitarist and producer Jonathan Edward’s solo experiment in modern ambient rock has evolved into a fully realized Hindi Alt-Rock band that thrives on raw energy, honest lyrics, and unapologetic sound.

Fronted by brothers Joel (vocals/lyrics) and Eddie (guitars/production), with Rajiv on bass, MIIRA’s music bridges the intensity of ’90s grunge with the introspection of contemporary rock. The brothers’ story runs deep—rooted in the coastal city of Vizag, shaped by years of individual exploration across choirs, regional stages, and studio sessions, before fate brought them together again under one vision.

In 2025, MIIRA unveils their long-awaited debut EP, ‘Zordaar’, a 5-track record that roars with emotion, groove, and purpose. The EP captures everything that defines the band—blues-inspired grit, alt-rock power, and an emotional rawness that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking. With riffs that bite and lyrics that breathe, MIIRA’s sound is not just heard—it’s felt.
