The Beatles Story: Apple Corps Announces Massive Immersive Fan Experience in Liverpool for 2028

Mumbai, 22nd October 2026: The Beatles are set to receive a spectacular new tribute in their hometown as Apple Corps announces plans to transform The Beatles Story into a major immersive fan experience in Liverpool. Opening in 2028, the attraction will move from its current home at Albert Dock to a 100,000-square-foot site at the former St Johns Market, opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. More than four times the size of the existing attraction, the new destination aims to bring the legendary band’s journey to life for fans from around the world.

The revamped experience will take visitors through the history of The Beatles, from post-war Liverpool and their formative years in Hamburg to the global phenomenon of Beatlemania. Using immersive technology, original artefacts and reconstructed sets, fans will be able to explore iconic locations including the Cavern Club, Abbey Road, Shea Stadium and Savile Row. Several recreated settings will incorporate sets and props from filmmaker Sam Mendes’ upcoming The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event, scheduled for worldwide cinema release in April 2028. The project promises a more interactive way to experience the band’s musical legacy.

Adding another attraction to the development, Liverpool’s iconic St Johns Beacon will feature a Yellow Submarine-themed viewing experience with panoramic 360-degree views of the city. The tower attraction will operate independently, with visitors also able to combine it with The Beatles Story experience. Paul McCartney welcomed the plans, describing the project as a meaningful return to the band’s roots, while Ringo Starr highlighted Liverpool’s continuing importance as a music city. Apple Corps will take over the existing attraction’s operations in 2027 before relocating it to the new site the following year.

Beyond celebrating the Fab Four, the development aims to support Liverpool’s future music scene. Proceeds from every ticket sold to The Beatles Story will contribute to the newly established Apple Corps Liverpool Trust, which will provide financial support and opportunities for emerging local artists and cultural initiatives. The announcement also comes ahead of the planned opening of an official Beatles fan experience at 3 Savile Row in London in late 2027. With music history, immersive storytelling and grassroots support at its core, the Liverpool project seeks to preserve The Beatles’ legacy while creating opportunities for the next generation of musicians.
