Talking about the EP Troy says, “I’ve always wanted to do an Indian EP because I grew up surrounded by the music. This project is a tribute to my upbringing and the musical roots I was exposed to from childhood. The EP features an array of incredible collaborations, including veteran Punjabi singer Jazzy B on the track ‘Okay’, Punjabi-Canadian artist Amrit Maan on ‘Masala’, and Indo-Swiss artist BombayMami on ‘Beggin’.

Talking about his collaboration with Jazzy B he says, “Jazzy B is someone my team’s worked with for many years on various projects. So, when I made the beat for ‘Okay,’ I already heard him on it, so we all agreed Jazzy was the perfect person to collaborate on it. We sent it to him right away and he nailed it!”

‘Okay’ is a celebration of cross-cultural artistry and a prime example of TroyBoi’s vision to fuse traditional Indian melodies with his modern production. This approach is deeply personal, especially on the EP’s most significant track, “Kabhi,” which samples the voice of the late Lata Mangeshkar from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…, a film he watched repeatedly with his mother. TroyBoi shared that the sample was a “dream come true” and an “honor.”

With four or five successful tours of India under his belt, TroyBoi has already cultivated an immense and passionate fanbase in the country. “The fans there are amazing’, he says. “I’ve always had a lot of love for them”. He is already looking at returning to India for a tour in early 2026.
