Through Sound and Story, PALI’s “Leela” Bridges Myth and Modernity

Mumbai, 15th October 2025: After the explosive success of “Payasam,” producer PALI (Sangeet Patnaik) returns with “Leela,” a sonic and visual spectacle that redefines the boundaries of Indian electronic music.

PALI’s artistry lies in storytelling — not just fusion. In “Leela,” classical instruments aren’t decorative flourishes but living voices in a narrative symphony. Each flute riff, each rhythmic drop becomes a character in a larger mythic journey, where melody and mythology collide through bass.

Drawing inspiration from global sounds — Reggae, Jersey Beats, Hip-Hop, Amapiano, and Indian Classical — PALI weaves them into a seamless fabric of Drum’n’Bass that feels as ancient as it is futuristic. The result: a track that’s both playfully nostalgic and unapologetically cutting-edge.

Visually, “Leela” is brought to life by VizPat (Vishal Patnaik) through motion capture and facial scanning — a digital reinterpretation of Krishna’s Leela. It reimagines divine stories of love, mischief, and heroism for the modern world — including a fantastical face-off with a mythical monster guarding a divine artifact, the bansuri.

“Leela” is designed to make people move — the perfect set opener where tradition meets transcendence. By fusing the timeless tones of the bansuri with the kinetic energy of DnB, PALI crafts an immersive experience that celebrates the meeting point between Indian roots and global electronica.
