The six-song romantic collection brings together Swanand’s evocative poetry and distinctive vocals with Shekhar’s musical sensibilities. Their first release, ‘Piyarva’, arrives as the opening “Boond” from Maati, a concept where every song represents a raindrop. The idea behind ‘Maati’ was born almost 12 years ago on a rainy afternoon. After finishing work at a studio, Swanand Kirkire and Shekhar Ravjiani found themselves discussing the possibility of creating something intimate and personal over coffee.
