Shreya Sharma’s ‘Pari’ is a reclamation of feminine power, body positivity & sensuality

Mumbai, 25th August 2025: Independent singer-songwriter Shreya Sharma returns with ‘Pari’, a bold pop anthem celebrating feminine energy, body positivity, and radical self-acceptance. Written by Mitika Kanwar (of Beparwai fame) and produced by Dronark, the track marks a new chapter for Shreya – both musically and personally.

After a deliberate gap between releases, Pari is the result of months of introspection and evolution. “This song didn’t just come out of a studio session — it came out of learning how to own my body, my desires, and my voice again,” says Shreya. “It’s soft but it’s also angry. It’s sexy but grounded. It’s every version of me I wasn’t allowed to be.”

“Women in music are constantly expected to shrink — emotionally, physically, artistically. Pari is my refusal. It’s my reminder to myself and other women that softness and power can co-exist. And that we don’t need permission to take up space.”

With a striking dance-led music video choreographed by Ridisha Balani, ‘Pari’ explores the power of feminine movement and presence, reclaiming space through sensuality rather than shame. The visuals tap into a universal longing — to be seen, celebrated, and heard on our own terms.

Shreya, who rose to fame with hits like Prada and Duppata (from Jug Jugg Jeeyo), has since built a name as a fiercely independent voice in India’s music scene. Signed to FUGA as their first independent artist from India, she continues to push boundaries both sonically and thematically.
