Mumbai, 13th April, 2023: Since her debut four-track English EP ‘Mood’, released in September 2020, Sanjana has been making a sound name for herself in the industry. With her latest release ‘Nee Venda’, she tries her hand at going bi-lingual, with her own experience sharing in the song.
Watch the song here:
Talking about the song she says, “ ‘Nee Venda’ is Tamil for ‘I don’t want you’. I wrote this melody on my piano one evening when I realised that I’d been putting too much into a relationship that didn’t have a future. Being born in Coimbatore and brought up in Mumbai, I have a special connection with both Tamil and Hindi. I’ve always wanted to push my limits and emote in more languages than just one. When I sang this song to Ehsaan Noorani Sir, he appreciated my vocal texture and voice. He also mentioned that it’s a really catchy hook! And I’m so grateful to Sir. This is my first bi-lingual song and it’s also my first music video! ‘Nee Venda’ to me is a dreamy song with empowering lyrics and my producer Himonshu Parikh who has also produced Kesariya, Apna Bana Le, Kho Gaye and many other hits; totally captured the essence of it all. I really really hope you resonate with it, enjoy it and love it!”
