Rono Paints Love in Shades of Vulnerability with “Tere Jaisa”

Mumbai, 5th November 2025: Singer-songwriter Rono returns with “Tere Jaisa”, a heartfelt modern pop ballad that captures the ache and allure of a love that refuses to fade, one that lingers, breaks, and heals all at once. The track closes out what has been Rono’s most prolific year yet, following an instrumental EP, a full-length album, and two City Sessions live recordings for Tiger Baby Records.

At its core, “Tere Jaisa” is a song about the kind of love you can’t let go of, whether it makes or breaks you. Produced in a modern barbershop quartet style, the song layers lush vocal harmonies over chorus-soaked guitars, fusing classic warmth with contemporary emotion. The result is deeply human; nostalgic, textured, and brimming with feeling.

Swarnavo Datta adds rhythmic depth on drums, while Rono and Taab co-write the lyrics, crafting verses that tread the delicate line between pain and tenderness. Rono and Soutrik share co-production and instrumentation duties, with mixing by Rono and mastering by Soutrik.

Speaking about the song, Rono says, “‘Tere Jaisa’ comes from a place of surrender — when you realize that some loves don’t fade, they just change shape. I wanted to translate that feeling into a sound that feels both timeless and new — all organic, but emotionally electric.”

While “Tere Jaisa” retains Rono’s signature organic sound, it also marks a shift toward a more modern pop aesthetic; emotionally raw yet sharply produced. The song’s upcoming mixed-media music video expands on this evolution, visually interpreting heartbreak and introspection through layered textures and light.
