Popular Punjabi Singer Talwiinder Shares New Single ‘Blues’

Taken from upcoming Bait “inspired by” album, that also features British rappers ft. AJ Tracey and Raf Saperra, grime MC Casisdead, South Asian stars Natasha Noorani, Anik Khan and KR$NA and more. ‘Bait’, the highly anticipated comedy series, is now available exclusively on Prime Video.

Mumbai, 2^nd April 2026: Talwiinder has released ‘Blues’, another track from the Bait ‘inspired by’ soundtrack, the third single from the upcoming album scheduled to release on April 16.

Singing in Punjabi, ‘Blues’ is hypnotic and allows Talwiinder’s voice to overlay the complexly layered percussion almost as an additional rhythmic instrument. The lyrics speak of self-belief and seeing hard work come to fruition. A singer, songwriter and producer, Talwiinder is a titan of the global music scene with almost 2 billion streams and 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone. His experimental production and vocal prowess have won him fans across the world.

‘Bait’ is a new six-part, genre-bending series that follows Shah Latif, an out-of-work British-South Asian actor whose life begins to spiral when he lands the final audition to play the next James Bond. What begins as a moment of opportunity quickly turns into a chaotic four-day journey as family, fame, identity and online scrutiny collide. Blending psychological thriller elements with sharp comedy and family drama, the series explores universal themes of belonging, ambition and self-perception in contemporary London.

Music plays a central role in shaping the atmosphere of Bait. The soundtrack draws together a wide range of influences, reflecting the show’s hybrid cultural identity – from cinematic orchestration and psychedelic South Asian film music of the 1970s, to contemporary UK and South Asian artists. The release of the official soundtrack precedes the extended soundtrack album featuring music inspired by the show, which is out on April 16, and will come alongside the official music video for ‘Price Of It All’. The album will feature music from global stars including artists such as Raf Saperra, KR$NA, The Twins, ENNY, Casisdead, AJ Tracey, Natasha Noorani, Talwiinder, Riz Ahmed and more. ‘Blues’ follows on from Jay Sean’s “Pulling Me Back” ft. Véyah and Jorja Smith’s ‘Price Of It All’ – also the theme song – which was released in March.
