‘Piya Aajana’ by Neel Rupareliya & KS Thejal is a graceful ode to love

Mumbai, 8th September 2025: Mumbai-based music producer and composer Neel Rupareliya has released his latest indie fusion single, Piya Aajana, now streaming on all major platforms. The track brings together the richness of Indian classical music and the vibrancy of modern indie pop, exploring the timeless theme of longing for love, but through a lens of grace, warmth, and hope, rather than sadness.

Rooted in Raag Kaafi, Piya Aajana blends tabla and harmonium with contemporary textures of synths, guitars, and drums, creating a soundscape that flows seamlessly between Indian indie, fusion, and folk-inspired pop.

“I always felt that longing for love doesn’t have to be sad or melancholic. It can also be beautiful — full of hope and anticipation. That was the seed for Piya Aajana, and the reason the song feels graceful and open, rather than heavy,” says Neel Rupareliya.

The song features KS Thejal, a trained Carnatic and Western vocalist, whose evocative performance adds depth and emotion to the track, perfectly embodying its message of connection and anticipation.
