A transcendent East–West sonic voyage from a deeply connected artistic endeavour.
Mumbai, 19th November 2025: Renowned world music innovator Nadaka and prodigious percussionist Keshava unveil their collaborative album ‘In Candescence’, an evocative, meditative, and genre-defying journey where sound becomes light and musical intuition becomes its guiding force.
Drawing from the concept of ‘inner candescence’, the album opens the doorway to a luminous world where Indian classical depth meets global sonic textures. The project stands as a rare confluence of two artists whose connection feels less like collaboration and more like a shared consciousness.

“In Candescence grew out of a serendipitous musical bond with Keshava, years of playing together, filled with constantly evolving experiments and improvisations. When not in play mode, we often found ourselves listening to the masters of all eras and styles. Our own distinct style of music grew through attune-ment, and Keshava’s skill and delicate sensitivity on the tabla and percussion always bring a rich and beautiful complement to my instrument”, says Nadaka.

At the heart of In Candescence is Nadaka’s Geet-Taar, his self-crafted 24-string instrument that blends the emotional gravitas of Indian strings with the expressive vocabulary of the guitar. Interwoven with Keshava’s fluid command over tabla, frame drums, and world percussion, the album creates an ever-shifting landscape, soulful, intricate, and effortlessly contemporary.

“For as long as I can remember, playing with Nadaka was just natural, and over the years, his compositions and all the improvisations together were a joyful conversation of rhythm and tone. For me, In Candescence is a glimpse into those unique moments where music effortlessly falls into place”, adds Keshava.
The record glows with influences: Indian ragas, jazz progressions, Latin and Spanish colours, and subtle Middle Eastern warmth. Each piece unfolds like a conversation, shaped by years of intuitive synergy between Nadaka and Keshava, a space where silence becomes rhythm and melody becomes meditation.
