From off-Broadway stages to the Indian music scene, Arush steps into the spotlight with his debut single and big dreams.
In an industry where newcomers often struggle to find their footing, Arush has managed to make a good first impression. His debut single, released under Zee Music, carries a fresh, heartfelt vibe — a reflection of his journey through music, acting, and self-discovery. We caught up with the emerging artist to talk about his creative process, balancing multiple passions, and his vision for the future.
Your debut song has a happy and catchy vibe. How did it come about?
One of my close friends, who is also a writer in the music industry, sent me the song. The moment I heard it, it reminded me of so many experiences from my own life. It felt personal and special, and I knew I wanted to sing it myself. That’s how it all started.
Tell us a bit about your music background.
I am a self-learned singer. My family always encouraged me to sing, and their support motivated me to take it seriously. I studied a bit of music in Hong Kong while also pursuing acting and later did short music courses in New York. I wanted to understand different facets of music and become a diverse singer.
How did the collaboration with Zee Music happen?
My mom, who also manages me, reached out to T-Series and Zee Music. Zee loved the freshness of the song and immediately came on board. It all happened very quickly — within a month, the song was out.

What’s next for you?
I’ve written a few more songs and am also working on a short film and a big commercial project. My plan is to eventually release a full album instead of just singles.
Between acting and singing, which one do you prefer?
Honestly, whichever I’m doing at the moment! When I’m acting, I immerse myself completely in it, and when I’m singing, I give my all to music. Both are equally important to me.
How have your experiences in New York and India shaped you?
Working off-Broadway in New York taught me discipline, staying true to my craft, and finding my own voice instead of copying others. That mindset guides me in music too — I focus on what feels organic to me.
Would you prefer working independently or with labels?
I’ve worked with a label now, but I’d love to explore India’s independent scene, collaborate with other artists, and tour globally.
What are your expectations from this debut release?
I want people to connect with it and understand the effort behind it. I’m not chasing numbers — I want listeners to remember me as someone who shared his story through music.
With a debut single that’s looking to create buzz and an open approach to creativity, Arush is carving his own path — one that refuses to be boxed in by labels or genres. As he continues exploring music and acting, one thing is clear: this is just the beginning of an exciting journey.
