Kaushik’s ‘Desi Trapstar’ is a defiant narrative experience

Mumbai, 15th December 2025: Haryana’s underground sound finds a bold new voice as Kaushik recently released his debut full-length album, Desi Trapstar, a genre-bending project that reimagines Haryanvi music through the lens of global trap, pop, and hip-hop culture. Released on 6 November 2025, the album marks a defining moment for the region’s new-wave artists, pushing regional language and identity into contemporary sonic territory.

Structured as a 10-track album interspersed with four cinematic skits, Desi Trapstar is as much a narrative experience as it is a musical one. The project moves fluidly between emotionally raw storytelling, aggressive hardcore rap, high-energy rage tracks, and a desi-leaning commercial record designed for wider appeal, showcasing Kaushik’s range and creative intent.
