Indie duo Abhidaan releases its new single, ‘kya mere ho’

Mumbai, 22^nd May 2026: Rising from Jodhpur, indie duo, Abhidaan – Abhimanyu and Vardaan, has released its latest single ‘kya mere ho’. Known for blending emotionally honest songwriting with atmospheric indie, alternative and electronic influences, the duo has steadily built a sonic identity within India’s indie music scene through tracks like Kahan Chali, Naqsh, Besharam Iraaday and their EP Love. This new release ‘kya mere ho’ is an emotional indie track that explores the feeling of still belonging to someone, even when distance and silence begin to take over. The song reflects the vulnerability of seeking reassurance in a connection that already feels deeply rooted, capturing the emotional confusion between certainty, longing and unspoken attachment.

“The idea was to create a song that people can sit with and feel deeply. ‘kya mere ho’ carries a sense of longing, closeness and nostalgia at the same time, and we wanted every part of the song to reflect that emotion naturally”, says Abhimanyu.

“With ‘kya mere ho’, the track allowed us to experiment with alternative-rock inspired elements, atmospheric textures and layered production while still keeping the emotion at the centre of the song”, adds Vardaan.
