EP ‘Nayi Baat’ on T-Series, is a culmination of experience, legacy and new sonic journey of Faridkot

Mumbai, 21^st November 2025: T-Series has released ‘Nayi Baat’, the new EP by Faridkot, marking an exciting new chapter in the band’s musical evolution. Staying rooted in their signature warmth and charm, the EP brings together the sounds, stories, and emotions that define Faridkot, from playful love to reflective philosophy, from groovy pop to heartfelt rock ballads.

EP ‘Nayi Baat’, a five-track project, features songs like Harjai, Nayi Baat, Sawaari, Aza, and Jaadugari. Each song stands out with its unique mood: the peppy and upbeat Harjai and Nayi Baat, the powerful rock-driven Sawaari and Azaa, and the magical, melodic charm of Jaadugari. Together, they form an EP that feels nostalgic yet fresh, playful yet profound, showcasing a wide sonic range and fresh ideas.

Speaking about the creative spark behind the project, the band shares, “Nayi Baat, as the name suggests, is a culmination of a lots of new ideas. The sonic range of the album is quite wide, and we have just had a lot of fun while making this EP. It’s like a short novel and every song tells a part of the story. As a core philosophy of Faridkot, we always try to push ourselves to explore new sounds and new words. And that’s the spark that led to this EP also”. With over a decade in the indie scene, Faridkot continues to balance spontaneity and storytelling in their craft. Reflecting on their beginnings, they recall, “We have always loved telling stories through our music and exploring various genres of music to tell them. Once we decided on this thought, everything else has been spontaneous.. the ability and zeal to make music and tell stories through it was in itself so consuming, that we just kept at it”. This authenticity has been key to creating crowd favourites like Jeda Nasha, Kaala Doriyaa, and Laila, a track that grew purely through listener love. On what helps their music resonate so deeply, they added, “The audience is very smart and they can sniff out if something is not authentic. So, we just try to put out music that we fully connect with and believe in”.
