Mumbai, 21st August 2026: Bangalore-based singer-songwriter Tarang Sreedhar steps into the spotlight with his debut EP, ‘Reptile Eyes’. The four-track project introduces a promising young artist at the beginning of his songwriting journey, embracing experimentation rather than presenting a fixed artistic identity. Co-composed and produced by Richard Andrew Dudley, the EP explores a fascinating world shaped by escapism, curiosity and the desire to look beneath the surface.
The title ‘Reptile Eyes’ captures the EP’s recurring sense of mystery, unease and fascination. Each song approaches these emotions from a different perspective. Opening track ‘Trance’ explores the tendency to mentally drift away from the present, while the title track ventures into discomfort, danger and the instinct to search beyond appearances. ‘The Champion’ introduces a more direct and hook-driven sound, before ‘Sheets of Sound’ closes the project on an optimistic note, celebrating music as an escape from an overwhelming world.

A key creative force behind the EP is Richard Andrew Dudley, Tarang’s music mentor and producer on the project. “Without Richard’s support, guidance and creativity, none of this would have been possible”, says Tarang. “Take a few minutes to recognize the maturity in Tarang’s songwriting, its pure brilliance”, adds Richard Andrew.
With ‘Reptile Eyes’, Tarang Sreedhar offers an intriguing first glimpse into an artist still discovering the full range of his creative voice. That sense of exploration becomes one of the EP’s biggest strengths, allowing each track to reveal a different emotional and sonic dimension. From dreamy escapism to discomfort, danger and eventual optimism, the four songs create a connected listening experience. For listeners looking for a fresh voice from Bangalore’s growing independent music scene, Tarang Sreedhar’s ‘Reptile Eyes’ is an immersive debut worth discovering.
