Aamir Rizvi’s ‘emergency contact’ is a wakeup call to wonder what’s the point after all!

Mumbai, 21st May 2026: ‘emergency contact’ is the 14th studio single by Kolkata-based guitarist and singer-songwriter Aamir Rizvi. The very concept of an emergency contact is to be able to call someone when things aren’t going your way or perhaps at a point when you need some calm and peace, and you know this ‘contact’ can really give that to your mind.

This song, however, is not an indie track. This is about advanced pop, some soul, some RnB, some jazz scatting, think George Benson from Breezin’ (1976) or even a bit of Brazilian Icon Djavan and the hit record Luz (1982).

‘emergency contact’ as a tune will make you bop your head in the summer, but deep down at night, the groove, the solo, possibly even the lyrics might make you question a lot about who your emergency contact is and whether they are doing a good job at it.
