Sumira & Ajasra release ‘Toh Phir Chal’ — A travel song that finally gets to travel

An indie duet turns into a real-world journey across India, blending music, memory, and the magic of everyday places.

Mumbai, 19th November 2025: Singer-songwriter duo Sumira & Ajasra, known for their storytelling-led indie releases and millions of organic views, return with ‘Toh Phir Chal’, a song that has grown, travelled, and transformed over five years before finding its final form.

Written across three different moments, the first verse in 2020, the second in 2023, and the intro rap in 2025, ‘Toh Phir Chal’ began as a birthday gift from Sumira to her muse and producer, Ajasra. What started as a tender demo evolved into a textured indie-pop exploration of freedom, companionship, and love that doesn’t claim ownership.

At its heart, the track is a quiet rebellion, a reminder that relationships can be rooted yet unbound, steady yet wandering. The song still carries Sumira’s original harmonies from the demo, preserving the rawness of its first breath while growing into something fuller, warmer, and more lived-in.

From November through December, Sumira is taking the song on the road with busking sessions, house gigs, and ‘Creatives Over Coffee’ pop-ups across India. The campaign rejects the idea of staged perfection in favour of chai stalls, galli corners, riversides, mandis, the real India where stories breathe and music belongs to everyone.

As the duo travels city to city, the campaign becomes a living, evolving community space where listeners don’t just hear the song, they experience it with the artists, in the places it was meant for.

Because when the setting is real, the connection is too.
