Shruti Haasan’s voice cuts deep in ‘Kannakuzhikaaraa’ from Mysskin’s Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi

Mumbai, 23^rd December 2025: Shruti Haasan continues her strong creative run with ‘Kannakuzhikaaraa’, her latest single from the upcoming Tamil film Train, directed by Mysskin, in which she also features as part of the film alongside Vijay Sethupathi. The Tamil track adds a distinctive emotional layer to the narrative, further reinforcing Shruti’s growing body of work in layered, performance-driven cinema where music and acting often converge.

Speaking about her experience working with Mysskin, Shruti shared, “I had a great time working with him. He is a very unique person. He makes you feel liberated and free in the environment of working. He lets you explore.” The collaboration allowed her the freedom to approach her performance with instinct and experimentation.

Sharing an insight into the nuances of her performance, she added, “How do you hyperventilate without looking like you are hyperventilating? It was really interesting.” The release of ‘Kannakuzhikaaraa’ comes after a notably successful year for Shruti, which saw her be part of Coolie with Rajinikanth, perform and sing the title track of Varanasi for S.S. Rajamouli under the guidance of M.M. Keeravani, and now collaborate with Vijay Sethupathi in Train. The project adds yet another meaningful collaboration to a year defined by artistic range, thoughtful choices and a seamless balance between music and cinema.
