Sravana Bhargavi releases her bold new single ‘Fukuyama’
Mumbai, 3rd December 2025: Playback singer and emerging indie force Sravana Bhargavi returns with her most daring artistic statement yet, “Fukuyama,” an explosive English hip-hop single delivered with a playful Colombian-accented vocal flair. Blending sharp social commentary with infectious groove, the track marks a defining moment in her evolution as an independent artist.
For over a decade, Sravana has been one of Telugu cinema’s most recognisable voices, with chart-topping hits like “Simhamanti Chinnode,” “Super Machchi,” “Yevandoi Nani Garu,” “Aale Baale,” and “Joramochchindi.” Today, she commands over 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, a testament to her enduring appeal and vocal presence.
She has now stepped boldly into independent music. With three striking singles already to her name, Sravana has embraced writing her own music, often in multiple languages to express herself with total authenticity. “If I’m not unapologetic about who I am, then the very idea of being an independent artist loses its purpose”, she says.

The production carries a smooth, gripping vibe leaving listeners with a burn of truth wrapped in irresistible groove. The song emerged from one of the darkest and most defining chapters in her life. As her marriage collapsed during the pandemic, Sravana faced relentless judgment and gossip, much of it, painfully, from other women. “When my marriage detonated, the world turned my private life into dinner-table gossip. The harshest judgment came from women. That betrayal cut deeper than the breakup. In that silence, I wrote. Every scar, every rebellion, every truth about how society polices women. Fukuyama was born from that storm”, she shares.
“As an independent artist, I don’t borrow inspiration — I live it. I feel the pain, power through it, and turn it into sound. Fukuyama unlocked my fiercest version, and you can hear every ounce of that power in the music and lyrics, start to finish”, she further adds. This raw honesty fuels the uncompromising sonic and lyrical energy of the track.
