Shashwat Singh’s New Single ‘Mawaali Dil’ Is All About Innocent Love

After delivering chartbusters like Haan Main Galat with Arijit Singh for Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, composed by Pritam and also multiple songs in his soulful voice in the film 99 songs by AR Rahman, Shashwat Singh made complete use of this lockdown period to work on his independent music and is now out with his second independent single ‘Mawaali Dil’ on his Youtube channel.

Following the success of his first single ‘Yun Kyun’ which received a lovely response from fans and industry peers alike, Shashwat is back yet again with a romantic song that’s going to leave you feeling warm, fuzzy and is sure to sweep you off your feet. The song is written, composed and performed by Shashwat himself. Accompanying him is the immensely talented Nikhita Gandhi who features as a singer on the track as well as makes a delightful appearance in the music video.

Shashwat’s thoughts when asked about the song and video concept, “Love is a calling that is in an infinite loop in the grand scheme of this universe. When two people believe in it, trust in it and have their faith intact, they can achieve whatever they set out to conquer together. Their camaraderie and feeling of mutual respect are what guide them in tough times. Mawaali dil showcases a few such stories of people who are guided by the call of love and also long to continue to relive their very fond memories with their most favourite person.”
